What to do in the evenings at Gudauri ski resort?

Post by Haggard »

We're looking to try a new ski resort this year. Getting tired of the usual spots in the States and Europe, so we're thinking about heading to Georgia, Gudauri specifically. Read that it's a solid mountain with decent terrain. During the day we'll obviously be skiing, but what's there to do in the evenings? Is it just back to the hotel or are there actually some activities worth checking out?

Gudauri's pretty chill at night compared to bigger European resorts. There are a few bars and restaurants in the main area where people hang out after skiing. Some hotels have their own setups with live music or DJ nights on weekends. The town itself is small though, so don't expect Aspen or Chamonix nightlife. Most people just grab dinner, have some drinks, and call it early since the lifts start running at like 9 AM.

The resort area has gotten more developed over the past few years, so there's more to do than there used to be. The casino in Gudauri is worth checking out for something different from the usual bar scene: https://casinogudauri.ge/ . They've got table games, slots, and it's a decent spot to kill a few hours after dinner. Gives you an option besides just sitting in your hotel room or hitting the same bar every night.
